I’m applying to Harvard, Princeton, Penn, etc. (schools of high caliber). However, I have an average/mediocre SAT score for these schools: a 2230 (710 math, 720 reading, 800 writing, 12 essay). It’s only a 1430/1600 too. Definitely okay for these schools, but not amazing at all. My ACT is a 33, slightly below the SAT.

However, my AP scores are top-notch. I have received a 5 on every AP test I have taken (world history, chemistry, english language, environmental science, US history) and a 4 on studio art (but that’s not academic so not important).

Do you think having great AP scores could show that I actually do very well on ‘real’ schoolwork? Not just SAT type tests? I don’t know, I just really don’t like the SAT and am extremely prone to REALLY careless mistakes.

Thank you!
