Im a 16 yo girl attending HS in Colombia, I speak 3 languages fluently although English is my mother tongue, am adopted and have lived in 5 different countries. I am 2nd in my class for grades and I am reaching for the full IB diploma (most of which is in Spanish) - I am taking HL spanish, HL english, HL history, SL math, SL biology and SL studio art. My accumulative SAT score is 1900 (1300 math and reading combined) and my GPA is around 3.5. I am interested in studying either art (more specifically Illustration) or something in the humanities. There are not many opportunities for extracurriculars where I live especially since there is not money for me to join a team outside of school and nobody here would be willing to hire a 16 y/o whose native language isn’t spanish. What are my chances of getting in to RISD, SCAD and American University?
I would say they are all matches for you. I think your situation is extreme and therefore they would be lenient about ECs.
