Okay so uhhhhh I guess i’ll jus post my stats here. i’m a junior in high school

i’m planning on majoring in political science and minoring or double majoring in Statistics (i’m kind of scared about this because my math grades aren’t the best) but do you have any places I could go to??? I literally am lost. So far I want to apply to the UMN (resident of the state of MN) Twin Cities, UW Madison, UIUC, UC Davis, Uc irvine, Emory, American, GWU,
Test scores will be a key part of your profile. Did you take the PSAT? Some financial information would also help for other posters to comment. What is your family able and willing to spend? Do you have geographic preferences? City vs country, what regions, etc.
Emory is an absolute no unless you get around 34 on ACT
UIUC maybe
UC Davis ehhh
UC Irvine yes
American ehhh
GWU no
What is your UC GPA? https://rogerhub.com/gpa-calculator-uc/
Post capped weighted UC GPA.
A UC GPA below a 4.0 will be a tough admit for the UC’s listed. Also with no ACT score it is hard to predict.
Some statistical data for UC GPA Capped weighted and not Major specific along with ACT score ranges:
Freshman admit rates for UC GPA of 3.40-3.79:
UCI: 11.1%
UCD: 16.6%
Freshman admit rates for UC GPA of 3.80-4.19:
UCD: 56.5%
UCI: 52.1%
25th - 75th percentiles for ACT:
UCD: 26-32
UCI: 26-32
Also as an Out of State student, you will be full pay at $65K/year for the UC’s with little to no financial aid. Is this affordable?
