Could I potentially get into BU as premed if I apply early action?

BU seems like a pretty good school, but idk if it’s right for me. I just finished sophomore year of high school, so I was curious as to what would be a good option for me.

Weighted GPA: 4.95 / 6
UW: 3.67 / 4
SAT: I took a practice one and got like a 1450 / 1600
Recs: I have a teacher who has written successful ones for me in the past, so pretty good
ECs:

  • Orchestra for 5 years, going to do 2 more. I’m pretty committed (gotten 1s at Solo/Ensemble for the past five years, state qualled, and was orchestra concertmaster my freshman year of about 60+ people). I’ve also composed and arranged pieces and led the orchestra twice so far.
  • Debate for a year, but I’ve already gotten trophies this year and probably getting alot more. Definitely sticking with it for 2 more years (probably more trophies and definitely qualifying for state).
    - I also recently started a debate program for middle schoolers to learn about debate so they’re more comfortable when they enter the high school program (hopefully some leadership points there)
  • I recently got into a selective volunteer program at a high-ranked hospital, and currently work there 6-7 hours a week, and I’m going to do the same thing next summer (about 100 hours total after next year)
  • I’ve been shadowing a dentist as well (3 hrs/wk) but idk if that counts for anything, its mostly for experience
  • I'm planning to get an internship with a chemistry professor next summer, join a tutoring program to help out the freshmen, and keep volunteering with kids and at hospitals, should I add on anything else?
  • is it bad that I don't really have any leadership positions? (Unless you count being concertmaster, leading the middle school debate program and future tutoring program) I don't lead any real clubs.

I don’t really have the best grades, but I will have some excellent recs and I can write pretty well, so I don’t think the essay will bring me down either. Could I get into BU? If so, can I aim higher or is that crazy?

What’s the best possible college I could realistically aim for if I want to go into medicine if BU isn’t the best option?

Pre-med is not a major. The question you should be asking yourself is, what major do I want to study, eince you can benter medical school from any major.

I do think you are in the range for BU. However your school’s Naviance scattergram will tell you more.
