So I have to apply to my first college in late July. My counselors are all on summer break and cannot send an electronic version of my transcript to the school. Since I have the paper version of my official transcript, could I just scan it and email the college’s admissions office?
Check with each school to make sure they will accept a scanned copy. Most likely some or all will want an official sealed copy direct from your school.
I would check with the admissions office where you plan to submit your transcript, but I’m fairly certain you must send an official copy directly from your college counseling office.
Ask if you can scan it and send it, and tell them that you will have the official transcript sent to confirm the grades when school starts,
What college requires all your paperwork by the end of July? I’ve never heard of such an early deadline.
- Call your HS and see if teh guidance office is open over the summer (doubtful, but worth a try).
- If not, then contact the college and ask if a scanned transcript would be acceptable to them at least as an interim step.
- I’ve never heard of such an early deadline for a college application though. Our HS did not have the senior year transcript available to be send to colleges until early October.
