Since I will have such an easy Freshman course load, could I take an AP US History II online class now, then get out of it during Junior year?
Why would I do this, you ask?

Well, in 8th Grade we do US History I, so I figure it would be best to do US History ll directly the year after, and my courseload could allow this, and I could get a great grade in it also!

Also, Senior Year 1st Semester I have heard is very hard, so this would lessen the workload drastically!

Would these arguments let me do AP History II? I think I have found a loophole!

But would this mean I would just go to CC Senior year and get college credit, would they allow it?

I don’t know your high school system but here’s how mine goes. After 10th grade is finished we are allowed to take outside courses that can accelerate us for the next year. For example you’ve taken Algebra 2 in 10 grade and up next is pre calc. If you want to take AP CALC instead what you can do is take pre calc during the summer, show your counselor and move on ahead with AP CALC.This is how most students tend to stay ahead of other students. Also most high schools don’t allow freshmans to take AP Courses and I doubt any other source would allow it as well. Try the following year, that’s when you want to push yourself and look through opportunities. I hope this helped.

@sadiea5252 For ours I know that you can take them before Freshman (for example, if you were in the low level of Math in 8th grade, you can take summer courses to boost you up to regular level
Although you CAN do this, the Math teachers think it is just better to do the whole school year (which makes sense, it is a cumulative subject)

However, I figure you can do this for AP US History ll, since you do World History l and ll Freshman and Sophomore, so they are basically unrelated, but you take US History l in 8th Grade

I’m also considering taking an online course at Georgia Virtual School. Other sites you could check out are Florida Virtual, Keystone, and Northwestern, though these all cost a lot of money if you live out of state. If you contact the admin of each respective site, they’ll provide you with all the forms you give to your counselor so you can receive credit. I’m pretty sure they accept freshman, though I’d double check just to be sure. :)
