Could it be?

That in American academia there are still a few left who are strong enough to be politically incorrect and do the right thing like this guy? Apparently so.

Professor Indrek Wichman of Michigan State University writes a factual letter that will many many irate.

http://www.snopes.com/politics/soapbox/wichman.asp

ok those muslims were wrong in calling the cartoons hate speech, but honestly that man was more than a little harsh. why does he have such a big chip on the shoulder?
and fyi, mr wichman, americans are committing a lot of atrocities in iraq…many americans may be fighting for freedom there but to complain about rapes of white women by muslims is a bit hypocritical (i’m referring to the recent reports of rape of an iraqi woman by us soldiers, and also to the haditha incidents and the prison abuse scandals)

so basically, everyone needs to acknowledge that neither side is untarnished. stop trying to claim the moral high ground and fix your own problems, muslims AND mr wichman

I couldn’t possibly sum this up it better than the Onion, so I won’t even try.

“If we don’t protect freedom of speech, how will we know who the ass****'s are?”
