Could someone please give me a brief explanation of what the ACT is?

I know I may come off as “ignorant”, but I don’t know what the test is about?

How many sections are there? And what type of questions are these? Is the test similar to the SAT or is it more fact based?

Could someone provide like example questions or link to where I could find examples about what it’s like?

Thanks in advance! :)
