<p>Medium to large college, I don’t care about location (prefer warm weather like Florida, California, Georgia, etc), tuition- 20, 000- 40,000, from pennsylvania</p>
<p>20000-40000 means not many privates. With 3.75 and 2300 you could shoot for some privates like Tufts, UMiami, Cornell, Dartmouth, JHU, Vandy… For Southern weather I guess USC, UMiami, Emory, UCB, UCLA, UNC, Duke.</p>
<p>My mom makes around 90,000 as an hr director.</p>
<p>As a safety, your stats qualify for full tuition scholarship from Alabama. If you become National Merit Finalist (with 220 PSAT in Pennsylvania, it might happen), they will also add an additional $1000 per year, one year of housing, $2000 for summer research or international study, and an iPad.</p>
<p>Your stats and URM status make you a strong candidate for almost any school in the country, and quite a few would include merit or (possibly) financial aid to get you down near that budget.</p>
<p>Should I try to get my gpa higher or a slightly higher sat to be a better candidate for admission or merit aid? Should I get involved with more extracurricular s or self study an Ap. (I’m taking ap lit and ap gov next year).</p>
<p>^ You’re finished with junior year. You apply to colleges this fall. At this point, there is nothing you can do with your GPA before applying to colleges. Just be sure to keep up the good work. Those schools that do admit you will want to see you haven’t slacked off. You already have a 2300 SAT, an extremely high score. There is no benefit to adding a few points. Adding more extracurriculars just to improve your resume is counterproductive. Better to take a more prominent role in the activities you already do. Of course, if there is another activity that you truly find interesting or fun, go for it.</p>
<p>20-40k TUITION so I got schools with like 35k tuition and privates he may get need based aid and merit aid.</p>
