Could you imagine if Ron Paul were president right now?

Could anyone really fathom someone as small and powerless as Ron Paul actually being President of the United States during this recession and age, after now seeing Barack’s first 100 days.

I’m not trying to diss Ron Paul, I think he exerts wisdom although he is a mere idealist. I just realized the other day, that it’d be even hilarious if that cat was president right now. How do people who actually demanded his presidency take themselves seriously.

I doubt it would really be that much different. The economy would be slightly worse, but I doubt that the absence of a stimulus plan would turn the US into a third world country. Barack’s first one hundred days haven’t really changed that much. I’m glad he won the office, but I don’t exactly feel as though I’m living in a different country than I was last year at this time.

I;d imagine the United States may very well be embroiled in additional military conflict as a result of the fool’s proposal to issue letters of mark to deal with piracy.

which is a stupid idea anyways. the pirates aren’t carrying ye vast chests of booty like ye olde Barrrrrrbary Coast scallywags.

Keep in mind that he’d be working against Congress, and probably the media too. He wouldn’t be able to do what he promised.

You’d be surprised.

This. There would have been a milder stimulus package, but there still would have been one.

no, i seriously doubt there would have.

The 700 billion dollar bailout happened BEFORE today’s president was elected, so there’s stimulus no matter how fictional the situation is. As for the additional 850 billion, I’m not sure if Wrong Paul would have conjured that but I am sure that he wouldn’t have stopped the fed from doing something very similar.
