Could you please tell me about the joint programme by US&UK universities?

Dear American friends,
I find a Joint Programme by an American college and A British university, I can get a Joint BA after two years in UK and two years in US.
I know little about the joint programme like this. So I have some questions:

  1. If I attend this programme, which university's alumni am I ?
  2. Is the quality of this joint BA higher or lower than the BA of each single university? or they are equal?

    For example, suppose Oxford University and Harvard University have a jioint programme,and Tom takes this programme and graduate and get a diploma issued by two universities with history major.

Another Student Mike graduates from Harvard getting a diploma issued by Harvard with history major.

Now, whose diploma is better? If you are a HR officer, who do you like more?

I would look at the individuals. The joint degree wouldn’t be any better or worse.

The joint degrees that I am aware of are between (approximately) peer universities, such as Columbia + LSE. You are considered an alum of both, and the two degrees are equal.

If you are an HR officer you simply note that the person has degrees from 2 strong names- and then look at what else they have on their CV and how it relates to what they are applying to do.

In your example, if Mike has spent every summer interning at Morgan Stanley, and Tom has spent every summer doing history research and writing papers, and the two went up for the same job in investment banking, my guess is that Mike would have the edge, but if they were applying for a job as a researcher for a DC think tank, my bet would be on Tom.

If you are deciding between a dual degree option and a single degree option, make the choice based on your larger interests- and read the fine print carefully. For many you do not have guaranteed admission to the dual degree - you apply internally late in your first/early in your second year.

Right, sign up for a dual-degree because the aspects of the dual-degree fit your interests and desires.
The main undergrad one I am aware of is W&M and St. A’s.
