Couldn't go to Exeter revisit day yesterday...

Maybe this is a silly question, IDK, but I am worried, what happens when a person can’t make it for revisit day? I couldn’t go to Experience Exeter that is today because my mom is sick and couldn’t make the 200+mile drive to Exeter. She emailed them yesterday afternoon to let them know, but does that mean the student host can’t, well, be a host anymore? Are there any other consequences? Should I be worried?

No reason to worry, it happens. Do you feel you need to go back to make a decision?

Why would a new student be a host? Am I missing something? No-they dont care if you come or not. They offered you admission so they want you…otherwise I am not sure what you are imagining to be a problem?

Hope your mom feels better. Current students are paired with admitted students as “hosts” for the day. They take the visitors to sports, dorms etc… Hosts sign up to be paired and do look forward to the day. However, things happen and they won’t be too upset by the attendee not visiting- they might even get a new attendee later in the week.

You didn’t miss anything important, I think. The revisit day was mainly for the students to decide whether they were coming. Any information that was absolutely necessary will be told to you!
