Counselor did not submit ED1 agreement. When I went to submit, Common App would not let me submit ED1 to Boston College. Any recourse for me at all?
The Common Application allows students to submit applications without letters of recommendations submitted (they DO have to be assigned to recommenders)----this includes the ED agreement, which is considered a part of your Counselor’s LOR in the Common App’s recommender management system. If you haven’t submitted your application, you could consider contacting the Admissions Office, though it’s highly unlikely they’ll make an exception----usually schools will accept LORs/Transcripts soon after the deadline, but not the student’s application itself. In that case, I’d recommend applying ED2, if you’re still certain by January that BC is your top choice, and more importantly, you can afford it.
