Counselor or Teacher Recommendation?

If a college asks for a counselor recommendation, can I turn in a teacher recommendation instead? I didn’t realize I needed a counselor recommendation and I feel like it’s too late to get one in for this college that I’m applying to EA, but I already have a teacher rec.

The counselor recommendation for my high school is built into the school report that you need to send to college to complete the application. Ask your counselor if there is a recommendation built into your school report.

No.

prsguitar is right: it’s part of the secondary school report.

No, you really need your counselor. The counselor is not just a recommendation. They give an actual school report which is information the college will need to understand what sort of school you went to and what kind of student you were in that school.

Talk to your counselor tomorrow. Many EA deadlines seem to be Nov 1st (though maybe the school you are looking at is an exception.) That is almost 2 weeks and that should be enough time.
