<p>I just received my grade for AP History class and my teacher marked “Ethics Policy Violation” on my last assignment and dropped my grade by one letter (from A to B). On the remarks she put “plagiarizing”-- perhaps due to my using of one or two sentences from a source without citing (it was a 5-page essay). I know for sure this is going to cause some negative comments on my counselor recommendation. Can anyone tell me which top colleges (say top 30 or so) don’t require counselor recommentdation? I really need help here. Thanks!</p>

<p>how do you know for sure that your counselor will include this? i would just talk to him/her and be honest and i don’t think they would include it.</p>
