<p>I’m a student form sweden ad have a problem with the counselor’s recommendation letter.
Swedish studnets don’t have the close relationship with their counselors as students do in USA. The truth, I have only talked to my counselor once and she doesn’t know me at all. Do I still need a recommendation letter from her? Or is it okay not to have a rec letter from her but one from a third teacher instead?</p>
<p>Hey dont worry I live in the US and I barely know my counselor. I think they just have to write a short letter, otherwise the commonapp won’t let them attatch the necessary school forms. but I don’t think most schools really care about (or even see) the counselor letter, the tracher recs will be much more important. <p>thanks! my counselor wrote a pretty lousy letter, she even spelled my name wrong! But yes, I’ll have to use that letter :)</p>
