I recently post a Illinois blog stating that typically over 50% of their deferrels are admitted, so there is still a good chance of being accepted. Also if you applied to Umich ER you will not have to worry about a rejection, you probably will get deferred ( if not admitted) too.</p>
<p>^ I applied for ER but I am not a ER applicant anymore because my counselor sent some parts of my transcripts late.</p>

<p>ThomasJefferson, if you have a decison block that says deferred, then that means you did qualify for consideration for priority admission but were deferred so nothing was deemed late. Majority of those deferred do eventually get admitted.</p>

<p>I think I know why I got rejected.</p>
<p>For the essay about an EC, I couldn’t think of a good EC, so I wrote about how I’m a “princess” in my spare time, and how I have to juggle “princess” lifestyle (sitting in my throne, being a beautiful leader) with my high school girl lifestyle. I talked about how I wear a tiara sometimes too. Without making myself seem self centered, it got across the point that my desire to be a princess makes me friendly, social, and a good leader. Even though Princess isn’t a true EC, I think it adressed the prompt good enough.</p>
<p>I TOTALLY forgot I actually used that essay. I kind of wrote it out of boredom and didn’t know if I’d actually use it.</p>
<p>Somebody at U of I has no love for us princess types. They probably though I was high when I wrote it.</p>
<p>I still have the essay; I’m probably not using it again though =/</p>

<p>Balthezar : I never post my son’s stats here. It’s because his stats is not good enough. Purdue is match, UIUC is reach. I really don’t understand why so many applicants that has better stats than him were denied or deferred. I am so happy.
