Counting down the days until December 11th

Yeah, 22 AP Classes. I go to a regular public school. Taking that many isn’t uncommon at all at my school. And I didn’t take all the exams; and the ones I did take I did badly on.

I’m reasonably certain the knockout on my application was that horrible princess essay. I read through it today and I purely can’t believe I actually used that rotten, pretentious piece of filth.

I applied for undergrad at UIUC…i applied to bioengineering, with civil as my second choice, and the decision says Admit - Alternative Choice…and the program that’s listed is civil, does this mean i’m in civil? or does it mean i might be changed from civil to something else? in other words, what program is listed in the application status when the decision column says Admit - Alternative Choice? is the program you are in? or something else?

You’ve been admitted to Civil Engineering

“Program: NONE:BUS Cur Unassigned -UIUC”

I got in, but should I be concerned with the “NONE” part? I have no idea what I did on my application

nah dude don’t worry, it’s that for everyone in business

has anyone gotten a confirmation email or an acceptance letter in the mail? When do those usually come out?

Is there a rejection letter?

And when do they take down the status’s for priority applicants? I don’t know why but I keep looking at mine and it makes me depressed.

I unfortunately didn’t get in all my stuff to make the priority deadline. On my decision status it says: Pending - Manual Review Req. Does that just mean that they have started to look at my application or might they send my decision sooner than the Feb. 19th notification? I submitted my application before the Nov. 1st deadline, but the problem was that my school didn’t send my transcripts until later on, they arrived Nov. 10th.

Here’s an explanation of the various check application stuff: [U</a> of I Admissions: Application Status Help](Page Not Found, Illinois Undergraduate Admissions).

As noted manual review simply means there is a computer field missing info that someone has to manualy fill in such as class rank if your high school does not rank. Otherwise, it means nothing special. Decisions for those not notified last week will be released Feb 19 most likely. I say most likely because last year in February they actually moved the date up a little and issued them a few days earlier than originally set.

drusba : do you know when they will send out official admissions letter?

Tony…relax…I’m sure the letters will get to you any day now lol…They don’t contain money, so calm down ;)

Balthezar : My son need this letter. He don’t believe the “admit” on web page. He need a letter in hand to clam down. :)

admit 5 chars, each one mean 10K per year :)

Balthezar : do you know any forum that has many peoples discuss UIUC?

If you can’t get an answer to your question on this forum, I can’t imagine any other forum that would be of use. You’re at the point where you have very detailed questions that can only be answered by university personnel directly, and the answers you get will be much more reliable. Call, or write, if you feel more comfortable doing so. College Confidential will become less and less useful after the admit. You also need to visit, if you have not already done so, and see how things are face-to-face.

Balthezar: Yes. Agree.
Schedule to vist UIUC and Purdue next month.

Thanks, I was hoping to get a decision sooner, but it’s okay! haha

OOS, 4.0 UW w/ AP’s, 29 ACT, OK EC’s, Rank 1/700ish, thought essays were good

…I know this is a hard school to get into, but I didn’t know it was THAT hard. Since when is Illinois more competitive than Michigan? (which i got into…)

That’s very odd, Tommy…Very odd.
