where’d you see that?

cody i’d say it is a legit reason unless ur school ends before 5 CST and in that case it would be useless to ditch. I’m so excited for decisions!

do oyu think this email matters ? ow can they make mistake like ths?

Yes that is a mistake. Read the previous posts in this thread. I got the email too.

I have no idea why the letters went out (my son, applying to engineering didn’t get one), but as for the university ID (UIN), every applicant gets one. It’s the primary key in the university’s enterprise relational DBMS called Banner.
They all start with the number 6 and there are no dashes although they may include the UIN as part of a multipart key in any letters that go out.

9 hours 18 minutes. Today is going to DRAG.

7 hours left

5 hours 15 minutes…

I got the education email too. Its definitely not for those who clicked interest in teacher certification because I didn’t check that. I’m really nervous about decisions. Any chances real quick for an out of state kid?

SAT
700 math
660 Critical Reading
520 Writing (GRR)

GPA
4.4 weighted and 3.7 unweighted

I’m taking APs. Have decent extracurriculars like varsity tennis(captain), Scouting(senior patrol leader and almost eagle. I still got 6 months before 18), and Church youth(president). Another positive is that I’m in a pre-engineering program(our curriculum has engineering interwined in it. For example, we take intros to statics, dynamics, and circuits).

Any ideas of admission decision?

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but, if you applied to engineering, your stats seem well below the middle 50% of applicants admitted. I’d say you’re looking at a deferral today. Good luck though, and I hope I’m wrong.

yeah I figured that. And the deferral will probably turn into a denial.

I have worse stats…560 CR 690 M 660 W with 3.7 unweighted…
Could I get in to DGS? I can’t wait 4more hours…

As far as the Education Email goes, it has NO relationship at all to application status. DS got one and while he showed early interest he did not end up applying at all.

GO
Illini!

Just practicing. ;)

Good
Luck Everyone!

less than 3 hrs. Good luck everyone!
