Country Music

Do any CCers enjoy listening to country music? I am constantly being made fun of for my liking of it (especially the Rascal Flatts) and I just wanted to see how many people actually appreciate country music :)

I should have gone to Vanderbilt because I am assuming there listening to the Rascal Flatts at full blast wouldn’t be made fun of :)

I am in love wi/ country and I’m headed to Notre Dame probably next fall, and I don’t care who hears it :D

aww i cant stand country music! And Im not fond of Notre Dame, either! way too conservative arghh.

I like certain songs.

My favorite: “Whiskey Lullaby” by Brad Paisley featuring Alison Krauss. I love Tift Merritt, also.

Man, that’s a tear-jerker.

I listen to every genre, though alternative pop is usually my field.

Aww man…I liked “Whiskey Lullaby” too, that really was a sad song. I listen to the occasional country, like I also like that song “play some country.”

I’m open to all music really, although it’s slightly funny that I seem to listen to country among the least when I grew up listening to Dolly Parton, Kenny Rogers, and Don Williams .

p.s. Notre Dame is awesome!

I was very happy that the Rascal Flatts’s “Bless the Broken Road” was nominated for 3 grammys!

I love Country music…but I don’t count because I’m from Alabama.

wow, alison krauss is so good.

country music is wonderful, sometimes.

post more songs please, I like country music; I just don’t know many artists or songs

I like Alison Krauss, too. Generally, I don’t like the slick, modern Nashville assembly-line stuff, but some of the old school country singers like Merle Haggard, Waylon Jennings, Kris Kristofferson, and Willie Nelson can be cool on occasion.

dixie chicks :)
