<p>i know just as well as you that with those stats and those scores im pretty sure youre going to be accepted into anywhere…so its either you just want to show off your stats or you just have very very low esteem</p>

<p>Yep… those are good stats… darn! those are good stats! pretty amazing SAT II’s… which reveiw books and such did you use for those?</p>

<p>I’m a Korean so I’ve basically covered most of the topics in Korea… so its not surprising if you get 3 800’s in chem,phy, and math. and Random person, I used Barron’s to study.</p>

<p>did you use Barrons for the Physics? I have the sparksnotes prep book and I don’t think its very good. did you think the practice tests were similar to the actual test?</p>

<p>Very good stats. You have a good chance at any university you apply to.</p>

<p>Barron’s tend to be much harder than the actual exam, so it encourages and reassures you even more. I’d say around 750 in Barrons = 800 in real. (some say its 700 but I dunno). I never used Sparksnote be4 but I heard that Sparksnote is only good for studying biology. But if yer short on time, PR is suitable 4 you as it only reviews the essentials. But get Barron!</p>

<p>Perspnally, I think it would be funny if people just said, “no chance, you’ll be rejected everywhere you apply.” But then again that 1560 is pretty low…</p>

<p>yes. i think ur ECs are average they arent spectacular. In order to complement your outstanding academic achievements, u need a few devoted/strong ECs which you seem to lack. Ive seen lotsa peers get rejected over few ECs. Since most college essays focus on ECs, determine which one you love and convince the reader that this EC really means a lot to u =D all u have now are the essays to convince them that ur ECs are important to you and that they basically rock =D with excellent essays/recommendations u should be fine. good luck</p>

<p>Oh, Barron’s is terrible! A 550-600 in the Math 2C Book is an 800 on the real thing! I’m not exaggerating. And although this sounds like a good thing, it’s actually really bad because you don’t know exactly where you stand after you take some of their practice tests. An excellent company is Kaplan’s or Princeton Review, because your scores on their practice tests will be about 70-90 points lower than the real thing, which means you have a reasonable idea of where you are AND you get the bonus of being overprepared for the test.</p>

<p>I used Barron’s for a while, but realized that it’s not only more difficult than the exam, but it prepares you for the wrong things. I mean, if you study it, you will get a great score, but you spend too much time on obscure topics. I would go with the book by the Research & Education Association (REA). I have heard that it is almost identical to the exams.</p>

<p>hahah ya. this stat is mediocre/good compared to this academy school in korea that specialises in sending kids abroad. Heck, they do min 5 AP’s and usually near 10 and achieve stellar scores.</p>
