Couple questions about UIUC Math+CS major

  1. What is the approximate acceptance rate of Math+CS?
  2. Is it worth going into Math+CS if I was originally rejected for CS in college of engineering? I wanted to specifically focus on CS, but with a Math+CS major, am I allowed to take more in depth CS courses than math courses?

  1. Slightly higher than CS-ENG but still low
  2. Do you like high-level/theoretical math? CS/Math has you taking a lot of CS theory courses for your requirements, but you are of course allowed to take other CS courses (provided you can get a spot.)
