So my boyfriend and I have been together for three years, it will be almost 5 when I leave for college. I have been working hard my whole life to go to college so I can have the ability to follow my dream. So I don’t want to not go to college (obviously) but I am worried about my boyfriend and I. He will not be going to the same college as I (he is more of the “get straight to work” kind) but he plans to move with me when I leave for college. I’m definitely a person who loves to always be around my boyfriend, he’s like my best friend, and I don’t really want to be at a point where I only see him twice a year. I’m trying to figure out the options for us but there is no information on it.
Most students do not take their SOs to college with them. College is a time to not only learn more about educational subjects, but also to try new activities an meet new people. Some colleges also require freshman to live in campus housing. You won’t find info on it partly because colleges (and most parents) don’t really encourage it.
