i just saw this video in youtube about this lady that coupons and how she saved over 80%!
how much do you save using coupons?

I save time by not using coupons. My time is too valuable (though you wouldn’t know it by how much I spend on CC, lol).

A woman that I work with showed me her bill the other day… she spent 73 dollars and it said her savings was 220. I was like my goodness from now on you will be in charge of shopping for me!!! She clips them when she is on break at work and puts them in a little coupon filing system.

The foods for which coupons are available are generally high-profit and highly processed. No thanks, not for me. I do participate in my local grocery store’s mailer and membership program, which gets me more generic discounts, like $10 off $100 of product.

Even when our family was officially below the poverty line, I did not use coupons much. I quickly figured out that store brands were cheaper than the name brands with coupons, and there were no coupons for fresh produce. I had a family to take care of and a job, so I could not spend much time flipping through those flyers and clipping coupons. Then we discovers Costco…

I don’t buy enough national brands to make most coupons very useful. I do take advantage of store rebates and coupons for places I always shop like Staples and CVS.
