Course Descriptions // Transferring to Cornell // URGENT

<p>I just received an email from Cornell Engineering saying that I have not provided course descriptions (that is correct, was not aware) and the question is how detailed does the document have to be?</p>

<p>According to Cornell engineering website:

Course description/syllabus submissions should include:
Course number as it appears on your transcript
Semester or quarter during which you took the course
A list of topics covered in the course

</p>

<p>Does that mean I have the attach the very original syllabus with all the topic (as appear on syllabus, with dates etc) or is that course description enough? Example physics II:

PHY-290 Physics II [4.00 cr.]
This course is the continuation of PHY-280 Physics I, and is primarily a study of electricity and magnetism. It covers electrostatics, electrical circuits, magnetic fields and forces, capacitance and inductance, Maxwell’s equations, and the properties of fluids. </p>

<p>It is quite baffling as according to them the whole document should not be longer than 10 pages, but it is impossible if I have to include more detailed course description (detailed topics) that this…</p>

2 What semester you took that
3 topics
4 textbook
5 how many credit hours
6 is there a lab?</p>

<p>Im applying as a Mechanical Engineering major. Very small chances of getting in. I didn’t do research @ required courses at all, did not submit SAT’s. I moved to the US 2.5 years ago after graduating high school in Poland. My college GPA looks good though, 4.0 so far, I expect to get Associates in Engineering with one B/B+ (this semester). Applying just to not regret that I didnt try.</p>
