Course scheduling conflicts?

I was wondering if any current students at Stanford could offer their experience in scheduling courses at Stanford. I was playing around with the new CourseRank site (courserank.stanford.edu) and I noticed that courses such as CS106X and Math 51H meet during the same time. 51H is MTWTh 2:15 to 3:05, whereas CS106 meets MWF, also at 2:15 to 3:05. Is the administration ever flexible in rescheduling classes if there is a critical mass of students pushing to take both at once? Do course schedule times stay relatively static from year to year?

Thanks

No and yes. But it usually all works out. 51H and 106 are both incredibly heavy load classes…as a freshman, you have IHUM, PWR and other requirements too, so there is very slim chance that you can take those two together. You can always take 51H (offered only fall) first and take 106 later which is offered every quarter.
