Course Scheduling Dilemma

I’m currently a junior studying abroad in Korea. In the fall of my senior year, I want to take Intermediate Japanese. However, I’m worried about the fact that I haven’t been in a formal Japanese class for a year. Ideally I’d take the clas Pass-Fail, but will it affect grad school admissions? I plan to get a Masters in East Asian Studies, and the programs that I’m looking at don’t require language conpetence for admission.

What I am planning to take: Chinese 101 (with a seemingly great teacher), Japanese literature (with a prof whom I’ve taken a class from before), International Politics 101 (required for major) or service learning internship (core curriculum requirement), 2 PE classes, and Korean (a 3hrs once a week night class).

Should I take Intermediate Japanese Pass/Fail? Should I do something else with my schedule? Any advice is appreciated.
