all right, i’m having a little issue deciding between two courses for next year’s senior schedule:: (sorry if this is the wrong forum for this, i’m new…)

anyway, the options are either (A) AP Statistics or (B) a non-honors credit 1/2 year web design class that develops websites for charity organizations.

personally, i would rather choose B because in addition to being a class, it also looks like an ec, which would be unbelievably helpful. also, isn’t it true that most colleges don’t grant that much credit for a good ap exam score on stat? it doesn’t seem that way for my top two (tulane and usc)

just looking for any input that isn’t “omg, you should take stat because then you’d be with ME!”

Hellno; take AP statistics…

how is building webpages charity work???

HELLO???

didn’t say it was work, said it looked like an ec, which it does. it involves outside commitment like driving and directly communicating with the org’s which i am more than willing to do.

Take whatever you would like and enjoy the most. AP Stats will, of course, look good on your resume… but so will a charity organization. Plus, if you have other AP’s in there, the charity organization will stand out. Do whatever makes you happiest, because ultimately I doubt an admission committee is going to make the decision based on this.

thank you so much april. i dont know, i’ve been overanalyzing this thing anyway. regardless of whether or not i take stat, i’ll still graduate with at least 8 APs on my record. your advice sounded a lot more sound and a lot less sarcastic than a freshman.
