Course Selection

Which course selection would look better to colleges?

Schedule 1:
English 12
Gov/Econ
Pre-Calc Honors
Calc AB
Teacher’s Assistant
Teacher’s Assistant

or…

Schedule 2:
AP English Literature
AP Gov/Econ
Advanced Painting
Random Elective
Teacher’s Assistant
Teacher’s Assistant

Note: I will also be taking Japanese 9/10 at UCSD but it doesn’t count for my schedule.

Schedule #1 if you can only choose from the two, otherwise you math level would be too low.

But can you somehow combine the two, like use #2 as a base, replace Random Elective with Pre-Calc from #1. If that’s too heavy for you, only choose one AP between English and Gov/Econ?

Well I’ve already taken Pre-Calc regular, if that helps.

I see. Then I would drop Pre-Calc Honor and take Calc AB along w/ AP English and/or AP Gov/Econ.

Is that a must in your school to take Pre-calc Honor before/concurrent taking Calc?

College likes to see 4 years of math.
