<p>I’m a junior transfer, transferring in winter 09 to UCI for Mechanical engineering.</p>

<p>I just checked the mechanical engineering courses being offered at UCI in winter and found that i could only take 1 class as the rest of the classes have prerequisites that are offered only in Fall. This is really pathetic as it makes it impossible to transfer in winter at UCI. But this is not the case with UCLA as they offer every single class every quarter.</p>

<p>Can someone clarify this for me please? Why does UCI not offer important prerequisites every quarter?</p>

<p>Depends on the size of the program. For my major at UCLA the classes are only offered once per year, and most the classes require classes from the previous semester.</p>

<p>another question… does UCI accept winter or even spring transfers for business economics?</p>
