coursework threshold?

is there such a thing? i know for sat’s, it’s like around 2250+ and it doesn’t really matter too much anymore. is there such a thing for coursework you did? i.e. do you have to take a certain number of ap classes (if your school offers them), a certain number of honors (if your school offers them), etc? like “taken at least half of ap’s offered + all honors besides that” as a threshold? or “taken all but 2 ap’s offered + all honors”, or “all but 1 ap…”, etc? or do they expect that you have taken every ap and honors your school offers? OR do they really look at each student on an individual basis?

Well to be honest that doesn’t make much sense my school offers around 30 diffrent AP classes and it would impossible for me to take even half with the way our curriculum is set up - so I assume that they must take it on a case by case basis. I am betting they want to see that you just took as many as your schedule would
allow

yeah that’s true, some schools offer way more than anyone can take. but is there like a safe number? i know someone got into cornell taking 5 out of like 20 ap’s offered at her school. i wonder if 5 is like a threshold number then? or maybe it really is case-by-case.

i think that it’s case by case. your school should explain a lot on the school profile that your guidance counselor sends out with your transcript.
