<p>my letter thanked the recommender for agreeing, explained what is required and the deadline, told her where I’m applying and a little bit about why, and had a resume and transcript attached. I handed this all to her in person after talking to her about what she would want to say about me in a recommendation (and after getting comfortable that it’s going to be a great recommendation). One school I’m applying to isn’t a common app school so I included a stamped addressed envelope and that school’s recommendation form with my info already filled out.</p>
