I wonder if a large family that basically have a low EFC should bother with investing in a COVERDALL now for the youngest child who is now 13 years old ???

We did not/could not ( all our savings went to high COBRA health insurance premiums after loss of jobs’ insurances ) save for prior children and they get pretty good financial aid now . However , when the "little " one gets ready for college , our family size will shrink from 6 to 3 - plus , Mom will be working more hours which will raise our EFC.

Is the COVERDALL the way to go ???

Can a Grandparent invest in one and keep it in their names ?
