Reporting in after my Covid and Flu vax yesterday afternoon at 5pm. Got the Covid in my left shoulder and flu in my right. Flu shoulder was sore for a little while but I can’t feel any soreness at all this morning. Covid shoulder is pretty sore this morning, but no loss of range of motion or anything. Just tight and sore. I’ve been moving it this morning and put tiger balm on it and that seems to be helping. Felt more tired and fuzzy headed than usual last night around 11pm so I went to bed. Had an almost imperceptible headache on the top of my head that I would never have noticed if I hadn’t been looking for post vax symptoms. That’s it so far. I expect I will be back to 100% this afternoon. It’s mainly just the shoulder soreness. Not tired any more (or not any more tired than usual). Happy to have it done. Walgreen’s was pretty efficient.

Moderna or Pfizer?

Pfizer, but I think I had Moderna once. I don’t typically react strongly to vaccines. Shingrix was no prob for me.

H and I got our Covid Vax at Walgreens 3 hrs ago- we have medicare- no charge. Pfizer- no symptoms yet. Glad to get it done. They have no appointments until next week.

H and I got our new Covid vaccines today at the Ralph’s (Kroger) store across the street. Walked our regular 5 miles tonight and still feel fine. I canceled the appointments H made for Friday at CVS. H has a conference in Houston in on 10/9 and then we leave for Europe on 10/14. So glad to have this done. We also got our flu shots.

Woke up this morning (17 hrs post vax) with generalized muscle pain and a headache- but not debilitating. Mentioned it to H who said he forgot he got the vax yesterday. I think AM shots work out better but Walgreens only had PM shots.

I was same, about 18 hours after vax had headache and fatigue. I could very well have had joint pain but I’d already been having major knee pain so I can’t say if it made it worse.
My husband had zero issues aside from a sore arm in the flu shot arm.

DH rarely reacts at all to vaccines. But after observing me after my dual shots, he decided to get them separately. He got the flu vaccine yesterday and said he had a headache last night, but that’s it.

I have a bit of a headache today after receiving the flu and Covid vaccines around 5 pm yesterday. Otherwise I’m doing ok.

The reason we get the shots individually- is if there is a reaction to them you won’t know which one it was.

the public health gurus are recommending getting a two-fer as they are afraid many/most will just stop at 1 and never get around and go back for the 2nd (or 3rd?) shots.

I’d guess that the health plans recommend a two-fer as they can save a few bucks on the Admin side. And when you are dealing with millions, it starts to add up to real money.

Personally, will do then separate (as I receive a 10% off coupon for grocery shopping for each vax).

I decided to move up my shot to next week after hearing so many people getting Covid. I am getting a Moderna. I also advised my kids to get Moderna.

DH and I both got Spikevax (Moderna) and flu vaccines today at Walgreens. We got both vaccines together last year, too, no issues but neither of us have had any adverse reaction to any vaccines except a few hours of fatigue and chills from our first Shingrix dose a few years ago. We’re just too lazy to make two trips.

My wife and I have our shots (Pfizer) scheduled for Friday…late in the day so we are hoping that CVS will still have them, and we also decided to do the flu shots separately

I scheduled ours for Friday at Sam’s Club. CVS had no appointments available despite having many locations near us. Walgreens had very limited availability. Fingers crossed that Sam’s Club works out okay.

Have been trying to find a vaccine appointment close to home all week and finally, after reading this thread today, found our local CVS was offering appts again. Heading there this morning for Moderna. DH has a later appt and is getting the flu shot too but I’m holding off till mid October for that.

CVS near me appears to be suffering from a shortage of pharmacists and is not taking appointments for any vaccines.

We got the Moderna Spikevax at CVS yesterday. Our BCBS plan covered it. This was a rescheduled appointment after CVS cancelled our initial appointment. This morning we both have very sore arms but otherwise feel okay.

Spikevax sounds scary, but that’s what we’re getting on Monday at our local Rite Aid pharmacy.
