<p>Hey all,</p>

<p>I’m a male sophomore coxswain for Thomas Jefferson High School in Alexandria, VA and wanted to know how to navigate the ins and outs of the college recruiting process. I hope to join a D1 school and would like to know what steps I can take now to make this a reality.</p>

<p>I’ve heard the national team helps you stand out in terms of skill, but I wanted to know how much it actually helps. Also, how differently are Development and Selection camps viewed during the recruiting process? Besides the national team, what would help me the most in terms of recruitment?</p>

<p>National team definitely makes a difference in terms of exposure. Being invited to a Development camp is great, but Selection camp is definitely a tier above. If you are invited to participate at this level, it will be a massive boost to your exposure and recruitment visibility.
