<p>does getting a CPA help you get into the best graduate schools for an MBA? I am just entering college now and my dad is hell bent on me taking some accounting classes in order for me to get a CPA out of college, even though i don’t want to be an accountant. Is it really going to help or is it just gonna be a waste of time?</p>
<p>If you don’t want to be an accountant it is a complete and total waste of your time. This is your life, not your dad’s. Even if he is paying for your education he shouldn’t be pushing you to make decisions like that if you don’t want to.</p>

<p>It’s way too early for you to think about an MBA program. It’s for people who has at least 3-5 years of work experience. Enjoy college,discover yourself and forget about MBA.</p>
