It’s B because it’s referring to the technique he uses to achieve a certain purpose. It later states “the major difference is HOW they collected and use the voices”. The how indicates that is a technique and not merely a style.

On somewhat related note, (and because I was too lazy to create my own thread), how do you guys endure the terribly boring CR reading passages, that just seem to drone on? Like I’m fine with the science-y and psychological types of passages. Even literary ones are bearable and mildly amusing. But I couldn’t for the life of me, read through an entire historical passage. They start stating lots of random facts and how so-and-so starts trying to make change blah blah blah etc. So when it comes to answering the questions, I’m clueless because I realize I never really "read’ the passage so, to say. I’ve also started becoming more aware of my typical behaviors and reactions, and I’ve realized I start practicing my pencil spinning and twirling. Unfortunately it seems to have gotten better. So can someone please enlighten me on the beauties of historical passages and why history is so fascinating because I find them entirely wearisome.

Attach reasoning to everything. It is not just reading meaningless content. You can’t apply reasoning to something if you don’t know what it is first. Interest in the passage isn’t necessary (although it may help you at this stage). You just need to read the passage and understand it on an analytical level. I’m basically saying to force yourself to like it not in the sense that you want to read it but in the sense that you want to understand it.
