CR Prep for December

I took the SAT in October and got a 690, which was below my expectations because I had previously gotten 750+ on the college board practice tests that I used. According to the score report, I got 7 passage questions wrong: 1 easy, 5 medium, and 1 difficult. What can I do to make sure that I get 750+ when I retake in December?

Economize your time and maximize your concentration.

Also, utilize all CR techniques that are available to you. I hate how cliched this term has become on CC, but use “devil’s advocate” and look for answer choices that are supported by the passage with minimal inference and match the excerpt’s connotation.

But yeah, though I usually score 800 or one raw score off of 800 when I take practice tests, I occasionally bomb a test because I never really get in the zone. Then I find myself answering 4 questions in 1 minute and making absent-minded mistakes, which are just bad news. So use your time wisely and concentrate is my advice.

just do lots of practice tests

Thanks for the advice!
