Cracking the ACT 2014 vs. English & Reading / Math & Science Workout vs. Barrons ACT?

I am getting several ACT Prep books from my local library, but they don’t have these 4. Which one is the best?
(Also considering Up Your Score ACT, ACT 36 in 7 Steps and Accepted: ACT Study Guide??)

Hey wannabeot, I own the “Up Your Score ACT: 2014-2015 Edition”. It’s a great read for those who are easily distracted by larger and more complicated texts. The book has a “funny” aspect to it, one would say.

Anyhow, I suggest you buy “Up Your Score ACT: 2014-2015 Edition” for the English, Math, and Science sections in particular. Their English section is very detailed but, at the same time, very compact (short). If you get this book, I highly recommend you to get “The Real ACT Prep Guide” and take the English tests out of it. They even prompt you within that book to do so. BUT, please realize that “Up Your Score” is a STRATEGY book; it does not contain practice tests. It gives you actual ‘objective’ practice and skills, but it expects you to use the “The Real ACT Prep Guide” 's tests.

In order:

The Real ACT Prep Guide + Up Your Score: 2014-2015 Edition

1,296 ACT Practice Questions - Princeton Review

Barron’s ACT 36

Cracking the ACT - Princeton

Kaplan Premier Edition

I’ve used all of them except 5, however it has very good reviews. I’ve also heard McGraw Hill’s has a decent book but many of the reviews on Amazon don’t support that theory.

Good luck!
