cramster vs solutions manual?

Benefits of solutions manual:

  1. tangible.
  2. can take it anywhere with you.
  3. don’t need to use computer to check solutions.
    Cons of solutions manual:
  4. provides only odd answers.
  5. expensive (even if bought used).

Benefits of cramster:

  1. provides all solutions (even & odd).
  2. saves money ($5 dollars a month).
  3. because of #1 we have more practice problems to do.
    Cons of cramster:
  4. need a computer to use.
  5. cannot take it anywhere with you (unless you bring your laptop everywhere)
  6. small screen for viewing solutions (i’m not sure if there is an option to enlarge the real estate of the solutions screen module).
  7. may become reliant on it.

I want your opinion. This is coming from an engineering mayor where the classes i am taking are heavily reliant on doing practice problems for mastery.

Actually, if you get the teacher’s edition of the solution manual, it provides you the answers to all the problems, not just the odd ones.

I prefer the solution manual, because I can check it out on reserve at the library for free, rather than have to pay for the book. Plus, how answers are worked out on Cramster can get confusing, especially when there are lots of brackets involved due to the limitations that you can’t write out math problems as you would on paper.

You are an engineering mayor? Wow, do you get to write bills for your town of engineers?
