CRAP i messed up

ok so i applied ED to penn but i was lookin over my why penn essay today and I realized I had made a huge mistake:

written in my essay:
“Attaining a liberal arts degree from Penn will offer me the flexibility and the depth and breadth that I will need later on in life”

It’s not possible to get a liberal arts degree from Penn, is it? @(&)@&()!&(!&($&@(!&(&$!(&#(&#(!#&(#&(

it is not possible to get a liberal arts degree period. you need to major in something and therefore get a degree in something. BUT anything you could study in the college falls under the heading of liberal arts.

but don’t worry. I doubt something like that could be a deal breaker.

…

uh, what’s a bachelor of arts, then?

what did you put as your intended major?

If you’re going for CAS, you’re fine.

Google define:liberal arts.

how adversely do u think its going to affect my application? : (
i hate to think that a stupid mistake on my part is going to keep me out of my dream school

yea im applyin to cas…so im fine, then?

The undergraduate degree (Bachelor of Arts) conferred by the College is, by definition, a liberal arts degree. I don’t understand why you are concerned.

Yeah dude at least you didnt apply to nursing or engineering and say “liberal arts”

A Northeastern rep told us about how this one kid wrote about how he “wants to be an architecture” throughout his entire essay. My favorite mess-up story of all time.

He got in though, and though Northeastern obviously is not the same as Penn, just the way the rep told the story (followed by “I let him in and sent him a personal note explaining why you couldn’t be an architecture”) just reminded me that the people looking at your applications are human. They’re not out to get you. Don’t worry about it.
