cream foundation

I have worn a cream foundation make up called Day Radiance for 40+ years. Even though they changed the line many, many times through the years, they always still made this and had it available. Now my MK lady tells me they are phasing it out altogether. It is the creamiest, smoothest stuff and yet it never looks heavy while covering perfectly. I am dismayed at never being able to get it any longer. I don’t like liquid make up, it seems to just disappear. I’d prefer another cream. Any recommendations?

Buy a couple before they are all gone.

I like Bobbi Brown tinted moisturizer, which looks very natural, but it definitely doesn’t give you as much coverage.

I agree with @1214mom Stock up! That way you’ll still have your good stuff while you are searching for a new product. You don’t want to run out and then start trying replacements.

I have a covergirl/maybeline budget, so I prob can’t help. I use Covergirl and Olay Simply Ageless foundation. Comes in a low profile pot with a sponge. Good coverage like a cream, but I don’t think it lasts that long…starts to disappear in oily areas of my face. It’s ok though. I’ll be following to see other suggestions.

Good luck! Every single curly hair product I get attached to ends up being discontinued, so I feel your pain.

Ugh, I’ve used Day Radiance for about 30 years, myself. Sorry to hear that. I guess I’ll go order a bunch right now!

Estee Lauder’s Re-Nutriv has a couple cream foundation formulas. Really nice texture

Revlon colorstay whipped crème foundation is worth checking out if you can get a good color match

Yes, in the process of doing this but so far she has located only one!

I recently started using Makeup Forever’s stick foundation. It is easy to apply and gives great coverage without looking cakey.

I love Estee Lauder Double Wear liquid foundation because it stays on so well. They will give you a free sample at the counter. I have been wearing it for years and voiced my concern that it will be discontinued at some point. The sales clerk told me it is their best seller and not likely to be phased out.

Another vote for EL Double Wear. I’ve been wearing it for well over 20 years. I have a number of skin problems that I won’t bore anyone with, and I’ve tried just about every foundation out there. I’m always surprised to find that nothing stays on better than my old faithful Double Wear.

Don’t know what I would do if they stopped making it.

Uwalummom, I feel your pain. Curly hair products are the worst at “changing formulas”, etc! AND lip color! Seems to be an unwritten rule saying if she likes it, we’re changing it or getting rid of it altogether!

VaBluebird, my sister loves the IT Cosmetics Celebration creme foundation…Check it out–Ulta or Sephora.

VABluebird, MK discontinued one of my favorite foundation a few years ago and after I used up the last two bottles I had, I switched to Bare Minerals Bare Skin. I like how it stays on and you don’t need more than a couple of drops on your application brush.

I have been using Clinique Superbalanced make up for years, but I tried Clinique Beyond Perfecting (foundation plus concealer) as a lark. It had wonderful reviews on Macy’s website, so I decided to give it a try even though I figured it might be too heavy, and I find myself reaching for that over all my other products.

It has a wand applicator with a tip. I just dab a couple of dots on my skin and spread it on with my fingers. The coverage is light and thorough. You can apply more directly on spots as needed. I have very sensitive skin and this product has given me great coverage with no breakouts.

If they added SPF it would be perfect.
