Creative Piece - School of Cinema (interactive media)

Does the creative piece have to be directly related to the major you are applying to? For example, I am applying to the Interactive Media major. Should my creative piece be video-game / interactive media related, or can I send a film or something else creative?

Take from the website: [USC Cinema - Programs » Interactive Media » Application Procedures](http://cinema.usc.edu/programs/interactive-media/application-procedures-interactive.htm)

“The creative work sample is the one item that represents your best or most relevant work. This work might be computer-based or may be a film, photo essay, script or story. We also welcome references to URLs you have worked on. Please note, your creative work sample will not be returned to you.”

They want to see your best or most relevant work. If you have something that’s great and game-related, that would be best. If not, you can submit any artwork sample that represents your most accomplished work. If it is visual art, you should send slides.

In terms of what they are looking for, I hear they put a lot of weight on the creative statement, so make sure you give that a lot of thought and really hit it out of the park.

Good luck.
