Creative Solution for Printer

I have a small house with small rooms and am trying to mainstream furniture, simplify things, etc. I sold a very large desk that was taking up space in my kitchen and now need to find a place for my printer. It is wireless. Has anyone found a good solution for hiding the printer in a way that still makes it accessible? We don’t have an office.

Can you put it in a cupboard?

I don’t have one and hesitate to buy another large piece of furniture. I do have a small comode/cabinet thing that is old but might look nice painted. Im wondering if it could be converted to fit the printer.

Can you put it on a shelf in a closet, on a shelf in a stairway (say going down to the basement), under a cabinet in the kitchen/bathroom, etc., mount it on a wall under a desk, put it in a less used room on a tv tray or old nightstand, put it in the garage, under a bed on a board that you can slide in and out, in the linen closet, on top of the fridge

Does your desk have a roll top or doors–I’m looking for a desk that I can close off all my junk :D.

You have some good suggestions, SteveMa. Thank you! I have thought about putting it in my daughter’s room since she is rarely here. I guess I"m being lazy about going up and down stairs when I need to print! Lol. A kitchen cabinet might work though!

I have a roll top desk that has a printer drawer. It was designed when computers were big, but it has two pull out writing boards, and a keyboard drawer along with all its other nooks and crannies. I love it.

How about in the garage (if you have one)?

Sadly, I have no garage. I live in a shoe box.

Our house is <1000sqft but we used to have two kids, two cats, a 70lb lab and two adults!
Its not cramped, its just cozy
But I do love the way I have been able to replace many of my books with ebooks.

Our wireless printer is currently sitting on the piano bench in our living room! Sometimes it’s on the floor, other times on a side table, depending on what we need to do. Our place is quite small. Also, if I’m scanning photos or making copies, or changing print cartridges, I need a little more ease of access than if I’m just printing. So whatever you decide, make sure you can use it for all its functions.

EPTR, do you have a sofa table? You could put the sofa table in between a couch and a wall. Place the printer on the side of the table that is farther from the view of a person walking into the room. Put an interesting large object at the center of the table flanked by 2 taller narrow table lamps. This way the eye falls on the lamps and the art instead of the printer. Look at my little attempt at a sketch below where x is the printer and T are the lamps.

…x…T…@…T…

No, no sofa table but I like your sketch! Lol. Very nice! Yes, I agree, I will have to get strategic. I just hate a lot of clutter and wires, etc. Especially in a small space. Just drives me crazy.

We have our printer on a shelf of an Ikea bookcase. You can get extra shelves and maybe put short stuff on shelves closer together to make room.

I do have a bookcase in the family room. It might just fit on the bottom shelf of that. Thanks, Oldmom!

If you kept your printer past days on old desk in your kitchen…maybe put printer on top of your refrigerator?

I have ours on a small old trunk - the printer is on top of the trunk and the printer accessories (paper, Ink, etc) are inside the trunk - the trunk is placed under a small table in our sun porch which is easy to get o but not in our main living area.

Not sure if you could actually place the printer INSIDE something like a trunk or ottoman with storage???
