Credit card reader for iPhone

Does anyone have recommendations or good/bad experience they have experienced with a credit card reader with a Verizon phone (such as Intuit or square)? The transaction volume is low - perhaps 10 a day, but the person is at a different location practically every day.

Square works great. Terrific software, easy to use, easy to generate receipts and reports.

I just read an article about lack of customer support with the square. Let me see if I can find it… I don’t think this is it, but it points out the problems: <a href=“Square Review 2023 | Squareup Reviews, Payments, Products, Pricing”>http://www.merchantmaverick.com/reviews/square-review/

Since I have a Paypal account already, perhaps I shall investigate Paypal Here. Don’t know what restrictions will they impose on a big sale or some thing.

Paypal and the other systems I’ve been exposed to have similar issues about holdbacks; the companies want to protect themselves and sometimes that hurts individuals. They not only worry about getting stuck with illegal charges but they have to take some steps to mitigate any use of their systems for drug trafficking payments, etc.

I know paypal will hold back the amount of charges once a complaint is filed and if you do not respond on time or correctly, they will reverse the charges. That is why when we were selling large ticket items (we used to sell multiple items over 10K) we insisted that the customer to send a bank check first before we will ship the item, that was well announced in ebay auction details and customer expected that.

Credit card payments over or closed to 10K is always a problem, unless the bank is used to your selling pattern.
