Credit Unions

Any college students currently using credit unions and are happy with the service? Do you feel limited when traveling?

you mean overseas? I’ve never done that, but the people at my credit union are very nice. they care more about the customers, which is what matters to me

I use a credit union and I don’t feel limited at all. My card is also a Visa, so most people accept it.

I have both a credit union and a bank account. I like the credit union because they offer better rates on credit cards, they are more willing to lend money and open lines of credit to community members, and the money tends to stay local when you use a credit union.

With that said, I do feel a bit limited when I’m traveling and there aren’t ATMs to pull money out of. Since I live and work all over the state, and my credit union ATMs are really only limited to one city, it is a pain. That is why I have an account at both a local credit union and a national bank.
