<p>Does anyone here use a credit union? How would you describe your experience and would you recommend it over, say Bank of America?</p>

<p>The only thing I figure I’ll be needing is free checking and a credit card with no annual fees. I might be forgetting something important.</p>

<p>If that’s all you need then you’re fine at any major bank. Credit unions typically offer better rates on savings accounts and loans though.</p>
