Princeton doesn’t have a specific criminal justice department. Does anyone know, though, if they have any sort of classes/program/anything for CJ?

Look through their course catalogue. CJ is a rather specialized course that generally falls outside of P’s Liberal Arts focus. You’ll be hard pressed to find any of the super selective colleges offering this. You might ask why.

A few years back, there was an article in one of the American Academy of Pediatrics journals. The AAP had surveyed their members asking what job do your patients say they want to do when they grow up? The number one response was: Criminal Investigation/Criminal Justice. The article wondered why that was so. Might it be that teenagers today are watching too much television, with programs such as CSI NY/Las Vegas/Miami, Bones, Blue Bloods, Dexter etc? If every teenager who says they want to go into CJ did, the field will soon become over crowded, if it has not already.

As T26E4 said: Although a few top liberal arts colleges may offer a few courses that touch on CJ, not one offers a major or program in it. The field is too specialized. HYPS, and the rest of them, leave it to the technical schools to teach CJ.
Several business college in my locale advertise their “forensic accounting” degrees. I guess it sounds sexier than “accounting”.
