Critical Question Please Help

Alright so I’m still in high school, but my situation is different than most.

I have received a 4 year $50,000 + scholarship from the Air Force, which is where I’m going after college. One catch: I have to, HAVE to major in computer engineering. No, there is no way to change this if I want the scholarship. I’m not completely interested in it but I know I’ll be good at it.

But yes… after a couple years in the Air Force I want to go to law school, also paid for by the Air Force, and become a lawyer. Will having a major in computer engineering in any way affect my chances for particular schools or any school for that matter?

If you get good grades, you should be fine for law school with a comp-E degree. What I would strongly suggest is that you take as many writing courses as possible - perhaps even after graduation - to demonstrate research/writing skills. That will help you both in admissions (if you can take a minor in English or philosophy) and in law school.

You’ll definitely be unique if you do well.

CS is a good degree to do patent law anyways so apply for that because it makes oodles.
