I’ve never broken a 700 on either one, although I have broken the 10-12 Essay range multiple times. I think I still have time before 11th grade, since I’m a rising 10th grader, but what would you suggest doing in order to improve upon these two sections? I know you should read a lot, which I’ll do, but is there anything else? Like any good sources or books or any tips?

Read a lot is probably good for now. IMO, it is way too early to start doing Blue Book and other prep books, although it should not hurt, maybe get hold of some PSAT practice tests. Next summer, do all the blue book tests under real testing condition. Go over all the mistakes carefully. Understand all the writing grammar rules and common writing mistakes that they like to test for. Relax and have a good summer, I have a feeling you will do ok by junior year.

Thanks

What kinds of things should I read?

Magazines, books, newspapers, whatever you like
Try to find books that would improve your reading skills and vocabulary, i.e. anything that’s not middle school books and stuff.

I agree that it’s a bit early for formalized prep. You’ve got quite a bit of time.
